The Nevada Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS) is offering an upcoming online foster parent training for those interested in making a difference in a child’s life. The six-week pre-service training runs from May 7 to June 11 and is designed to equip prospective foster parents with essential skills using the Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) model to support trauma-healing care.
This 24-hour training program is conducted online via Microsoft Teams every Wednesday from 6 PM to 9 PM. To begin, all interested applicants must first attend a 2-hour online orientation, held on the first Thursday of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time to explore this rewarding opportunity! No commitment is required to attend orientation—it’s simply a chance to learn more.
