What is Naloxone?
Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose within minutes. Whether it’s fentanyl, heroin, or prescription painkillers, naloxone works by blocking opioid receptors in the brain and restoring normal breathing. It’s safe, easy to administer, and can be the critical tool that prevents a tragedy.
Why Should You Carry Naloxone?
Opioid overdoses can happen anywhere—to a friend, a family member, or even a stranger in your community. By carrying naloxone, you can be prepared to act when every second counts. Many people who overdose don’t receive medical help in time, but with naloxone in hand, you can be the difference that saves a life.
