Andrew Pregosin, a representative from the Nevada Medicare Assistance Program (MAP), attended the January 2022 Coalition meeting and provided information about a program that assists older and disabled individuals to better understand their medicare options.
Certified Benefits Counselors provide personalized support in program consolidation and assist individuals with plan comparisons and enrollments, give detailed medicare information, assist with appeals, offer fraud prevention education, aid with billing issues, and assist with low-income assistance programs.
The Nevada Medicare Assistance Program is a grant-funded program that provides free and unbiased Medicare counseling and offers help to individuals in integrating into the program, and other cost-safe programs.
Pregosin shared that MAP hopes to participate in the Lincoln County Health Fair to provide more information to individuals later this year. This free resource is available for community members and Pregosin urges people to reach out for assistance if needed.
