Grover C. Dils Medical Center is preparing to host an Oct. 21 community health fair.
From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Caliente Fire Station will be filled with demo booths, display tables and community members for health-related family fun. Organizers are excited to present discounted blood work, flu shots, swag stations and raffle prizes.
The drug paraphernalia education trailer will be set up at the health fair with a walk-through to educate parents and guardians. The hands-on training will inform adults about the current trends, slang, culture and access associated with teen substance abuse.
Visitors will have a chance to win a prize from the raffle at each booth. Prizes have been donated by businesses across Lincoln County, including gift cards, certificates and baskets. A knife set, cash and a hotel stay will also be up for grabs.
Mercy Air & Intermountain Life Flight will both be on the hospital landing pad during the event. Attendees can earn five extra raffle tickets by visiting the helicopters.
