Nevada Senior Services is hosting a second Engaging with Aging Conference on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. The conference will be an energetic and informative half-day virtual experience.
In 2019, Nevada Senior Services held its first statewide aging services conference, Engaging with Aging. The event was highly successful, gathering 325 aging services professionals in Las Vegas from across the state. While embracing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic this year, we made the thoughtful decision to move our 2020 event to 2021.
Engaging with Aging 2021-A Post Pandemic Promise will offer dynamic speakers, professional CEU’s, educational and learning experiences, break-out sessions and poster-sessions all rooted in our community’s reinvention of aging services post-pandemic. The virtual conference will showcase our sponsors and offer extensive networking opportunities.
Session Topics Include:
- Sustaining Aging Services In Nevada
- Innovation: Responding to Social Isolation & Wellness
- Responding to Nevada’s Food Insecurity in the COVID-19 Era
- Meeting the COVID-19 Workforce Challenge: Solving the Resource Gap
- Sustaining Mental Health in Nevada: Suicide & Elder Abuse
- Community Housing Solutions for the Vulnerable Nevadans
- Philanthropy & Aging in the COVID-19 Era
At Nevada Senior Services, leading and adapting in the new COVID-19 reality requires innovation and creativity. As our statewide service delivery models adjust to the evolving needs of our communities and environment, Engaging with Aging 2021: A Post Pandemic Promise will provide insights and experiences from Nevada’s aging services community. It is our goal to engage, to motivate and reveal the best of us in these difficult times.
